Discover the enchanting town of Pavia in Northern Italy
During the Roman age Pavia was a Roman castrum (fortified place) on the Ticino river and from the 6th century it became the capital of the Kingdom of the Lombards.
Although Pavia is home to one of the most prestigious universities in Italy and one of the oldest universities in the world, it is a town on a human scale and it is well known for its artistic and cultural treasures.

What can I expect the daily program to look like?

What documents should I provide to take part in the program? Do I need a travel insurance?
We, and most hotels, require that anyone participating has been vaccinated and have had a booster if they qualify and are willing to follow guidelines for staying safe such as wearing a mask.

Cost is per person and includes all the activities, lunches and transfers to the activities.
What's not included: flights and transfers to and from the town, accomodation, alcoholic drinks.

Do you require a certain Italian level to participate?
No, we look forward to having people whose level of Italian is varied. Everyone will be welcome to try their Italian out and we won't be correcting much. The more you speak the more you learn.

Grace is a 100% native Italian keen traveler that after years abroad has chosen to come back to her roots settling down in Northern Italy. She teaches Italian as a second language since 2006 and she passionately runs Italian with Grace.
Phoebe is the founding director of Active English in Milan. She runs an authorized Cambridge English Preparation Centre and camps for younger children and teens in Italy and in the US. This year she will be adding internships for 20 - 25 year olds in the Chicago area.
